Joplin High School Summer Physical Education and Conditioning Program
Joplin High School offers a Summer School Physical Education and Conditioning Program at no cost. The program is open to any upcoming 7th-12th student enrolled in the Joplin School District. Students may elect to take the course for school credit. The purpose of the course is to develop speed, strength, agility and flexibility along with the skills required for a healthy lifestyle. Athletes from all sports are highly encouraged to enroll in the course.

Summer Sports Camps and Activities
Joplin Schools offers a robust summer athletics schedule. Many sports offer affordable summer camps for students ranging from elementary school to high school. These summer camps introduce students to various sports and help students learn new skills and improve performance. Most of the camps are held in June or July. If you don’t see your sport’s camp opportunities listed here yet, please check back regularly, as they will be posted as they become available.

Registration is now open for the Joplin Boys Basketball Summer Camp!
Camp is open to boys going into 2nd through 6th grades next school year. The cost of camp includes individual and team drills, fundamentals, instruction, and a camp t-shirt. Families can register in advance at this link or in person on the first day of camp.
When: 5:30-6:45pm May 26-28
Where: JHS Kaminsky Gym
Who: Incoming 2nd-6th grade boys
Cost: $25 per student

Middle School Basketball Summer Schedule
Students interested in playing middle school basketball next year (grades 7-8) should attend both weights and summer practices. The first day of practice is May 26 at Joplin High School. Weights and practices starting on June 1 will take place at South Middle School. July practice dates will be held July 6-9 from 9-10:30am at South Middle School. Little Miss Cheer camp will be held nightly from 6:00 to 7:30pm Wednesday, May 27 through Friday, May 29 at the JHS Gym. In-person registration for camp will begin on May 27th at 5:30 PM.

This clinic is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of cheerleading such as, motions, jumps, basic cheers and chants, and dance skill. This fun-filled clinic will be held over a three-day period with a parent/friend performance on the last night that will start at 6:30 PM. The cost of the camp is $40 dollars for all three days. This includes a t-shirt, bow, and snacks every night.
Little Miss Cheer Clinic is for ages Pre-K (4 and 5 year olds) through 6th grade. Please sign up for the grade that your child has just completed. Please note: middle school students do not have to be a middle school cheerleader to attend this clinic.
This clinic is open to any district, not just Joplin students. Please complete one form for each camper attending.

Volleyball Summer Camp
Volleyball Summer camp is open to elementary, middle, and high school students. It will be held July 14-16 at Joplin High School. The costs per student are listed below, and includes a t-shirt. Register in advance here, or in person on the first day of camp.
High School: 10:30am – 1:00pm, $40
Middle School: 1:30pm – 3:30pm, $30
Elementary: 3:30pm – 5:00pm, $25
