Soccer has a long history of success at Joplin High School. The boys program started back in the 1970’s. The boys’ varsity team boasts multiple seasons with 15 or more wins. The Eagles have been crowned Conference Champions five times including three in a row in 2011, 2012, and 2013. The Eagles have also brought home the District Championship in 2004 and 2013. Many players have moved on to play at the college level.
Practice & Games
Home soccer matches are played on the turf field at Joplin High School. The field is one of the few all turf, soccer-only fields in the area.
Boys’ Soccer is held during the Fall season, playing 18 games and two tournaments. The season culminates in early November with the District Playoffs. The Boys’ season begins on the first day allowed for practice by MSHSAA usually in early August.
Summer Camps
The coaches and alumni put on two weeks of free camp each summer for high school athletes. Coaches and players also offer a youth soccer camp for elementary and middle school athletes during the summer.
