Cross Country is a great sport that involves running on various golf courses, lakes, and parks that range in distances from 1.5 to 3.5 miles. Both boys and girls are able to compete on a Junior Varsity or Varsity level. Runners compete as a team and as individuals. Several JHS cross-country runners have qualified for sectional and state competitions over the last ten years.
Tryouts & Practice
JHS Cross Country is a Fall sport that begins in early August and runs through the first week in November. A running distance camp is offered during the summer and various running clubs are held throughout the summer.
