Joplin High School offers a Summer School Physical Education and Conditioning Program at no cost. The program is open to any upcoming 7th-12th student enrolled in the Joplin School District. Students may elect to take the course for school credit.
The purpose of the course is to develop speed, strength, agility and flexibility along with the skills required for a healthy lifestyle. Athletes from all sports are highly encouraged to enroll in the course.

Joplin Schools offers a robust summer athletics schedule. Many sports offer affordable summer camps for students ranging from elementary school to high school. These summer camps introduce students to various sports and help students learn new skills and improve performance. Most of the camps are held in June or July.
Free Physicals
June 5th at JHS
A physical is NOT needed for activities during the summer, but MUST BE on file in the Athletics Office before fall practice begins August 7th.
This camp is designed for our young players who are entering grades 3 thru 6. The instruction will focus on technique and the proper application, all the while keeping the focus on the fun of the game.
Middle School Camp Registration Form
This camp is designed for players who are entering grades 7 and 8. Instruction will focus on technique and the proper application of that technique as it applies to the Joplin Middle Schools’ offense and defense. Instruction will occur by both middle school and high school coaches.
Camp Staff
The staff for the JOPLIN EAGLE FOOTBALL CAMPS will be comprised of coaches from the high school and the middle schools. Members of the Eagle Football Staff and players from the Eagle Football Team will provide instruction of fundamental skills such as passing, catching, running, blocking, and tackling.
Equipment:
No pads. The Eagle Staff will provide all necessary equipment. Campers are asked to wear athletic shorts, a t-shirt, and cleats/tennis shoes. Cleats are encouraged but not required. Tennis shoes are required because we will use the gyms in case of inclement weather.

Facilities: All sessions will be held at the JHS practice field or JHS gyms in case of inclement weather.
Water: Each participant should bring their own water jug with their name marked on the jug. The Eagle coaching staff will plenty of water breaks and water coolers to refill individual jugs.
Equipment: This camp is a non-contact camp. Fundamental drills will emphasize proper technique for the safety of the individual.
